Windows Error in connection with multiplay

Hi team

Me and my boyfriend has been playing together in a coop farm for a while (we are in our 3rd yr of the game) and since the last game update we started getting connection errors when trying to join the farm. There has been no problem with the connection before the update please help as it is very upsetting. (I am the host of that farm and i can play the farm fine on my own but he keeps getting an error when trying to connect)
We tried making a new farm to test it out and the same problem happened to me)

I couldnt find any error codes, it just connection failed after a few seconds selecting the farm file.
We've been trying to play together since the last update and have been getting the same problem on both ends hosting.
