Duck question

Has anyone seen ducks swim yet? I'm on the standard layout and placed my ducks near the large pond but they never go near the water.

Not yet, but I'm tempted to build a Coop that empties directly into a pond just so i can see them swim all the time xD

Yes and yes on the beach farm, both in the ponds and the sea.

My main save is a river farm too, so I'm super excited to unlock ducks. I don't even have a barn yet so that's probably pretty far in the future.

Now I'm waiting for the big coop upgrade to test this with a small pond:

I heard a *sploosh!* today and to my surprise they were finally swimming! Only seen them swim in spring though.

It seems like the ducks like to move horizontally than vertically, I already place the coop 1 tile gap above the pond (so I can still walk) but those ducks prefer to walk on the path rather than swim in the pond which is directly below them.

They are very well behaved ducks.
