Creator Response Drawing a gift card during the gift icon on season card

Hi,
I can't remember the specifics, but during a recent game, when resolving the gift icon on a season card, we drew an item card using a friend ability. The item card had the gift symbol on it, so can its gift ability be activated straight away?

I would say yes, if you keep the item. Because Friends technically trigger first before items.
