Dorado

The dorado is the last fish I need to catch. Summer only. I've been waiting nearly a year - I started seriously trying to finish my fishing list in Fall and it is now halfway through Spring.

I just now remembered that there is a bait that lets you catch stuff out of season. *Facepalm* I could have been done with my fishing list the first week of winter. Oops!

Dorado is almost always the last fish I have to catch, too.

It's at a weird point of being a fish that's relatively hard to catch, isn't worth a whole lot, that's in a place that you'd never fish outside of rainy spring/fall (the river), and where other fish around it aren't worth all that much either.

it and octopus are pretty much always the last two fish I have remaining from the collection, and at least octopus is memorable enough for some lone critical thinking of mine to actually remember to catch it, dorado is just... forgettable?

I share @FilthyGorilla feeling, though I've learned to catch dorado as soon as possible during Summer 1 to avoid having to wait another full year. Dorado feels so much like ConcernedApe asked himself: "where would I place a fish that everyone would always forget to catch?" In fact, dorado is more like a memory test for us players...

It's a fish that kinda have a golden sheen to its scales. I think that's why it's often used in games that have fishing.

I had to look it up, I’ve definitely seen that fish before but I didn’t know it’s name

I like putting them in fish tanks with midnight carp, blue discus, lionfish, and an ice pip (with several decorative items, including a clay castle, of course). Sometimes the crimson fish instead of the pip. It looks like an aquarium you'd see in real life.

Since the last update, I usually catch a dorado (or several) during the trout derby. Before that, I would always catch it while trying to get the tiger trout.

Apparently, there are two different fish that have the common name of dorado (gold). Since this one is found in a river, it is probably a reference to the freshwater dorado, which also looks more like the sprite than the saltwater dorado (this one has a yellow belly but is blue above).

My last fish is usually the Legend (I never sell it, so I have no incentive to catch it early, and thus I wait until I have a master enchanted advanced iridium rod plus qi-enhanced seafoam pudding), but then the next one is usually the dorado. I'm always left staring at the screen wondering which fish I forgot about, and it's always the dorado.

that’s a pretty cool fact, I wonder why they have the Same name
