Does somebody need to unlock all of the Ginger Island parrot services?

The tower which sends you back to your mainland farm, for instance! Costs 20 walnuts and is completely useless, if you already bought Krobus' wand.

Or, the volcano dungeon permanent bridge, which costs only 5, but there is water right next to it and the watering can works with one tiny mouse click.

Is there anything there that you need to get and are going to miss it, if you skip it? Also, if you spend golden walnuts on Qi's stuff and run out, it is impossible to find more in order to unlock further parrot services, right?

You can't trade golden walnuts for qi gems, if you haven't purchase all parrots' services.
Golden walnuts has only that as purpose.
But
open the tab to send message, if you are playing with switch is open pressing the right stick; then digit
/recountnuts
And the game will recount and re-accredit all your golden nuts. Change with qi gems. Repeat. Buy as many things you wants.

I do.

The tower is quite useful as long as you don't have the Return Sceptre. In my current save for instance, I'm near my first million, and the Warp Obelisks are my first priority before the Sceptre, but I already can build this tower, so I do, because it saves me from using one Warp Totem after another.
The permanent bridge in the Volcano again is a life saver for me - don't ask me how many times I forget to take my watering can with me! Palmface: "No, we can't go to the Volcano today. The watering can is neatly tucked away in a chest at home. Another 1000 g wasted!" 😫

On the other side, I don't mind doing as many Qi quests as needed to buy his stuff for Qi Gems. So yes, I spend most of my walnuts on parrots.

I find the warp tower useful because I usually unlock Ginger island way before I get the money for the scepter.

the bridge not so much, because the watering can is also useful inside the volcano so I just leave it in a chest there. The farm operates with sprinklers.

but in the end you have to buy everything because the game won’t allow you to buy qi gems before you do.

Ouch. I see. I was planning to thin out expenses and hoard them nuts, but i didn't know unlocking everything was actually mandatory... At least, i will prioritize the really important stuff first, such as farm and resort. Thanks!

Farm, bridge for the bone quarry (you can find 3-4 nuts here, plus professor Snail; give him in the tend island fossils for other nuts), and THEN island resort.

On a bit of a tangent you will need to buy everything to use the nuts and trade them for qi gems but if you don’t care about that you can just leave some annoying ones. Sometimes in saves I just don’t buy the level 5 escape hatch in the volcano tunnel or the volcano bridge (always helps me to remember to bring the can). I could care less about the couple dozen qi gems you get extra.

It makes no difference for easy to access ones like the farm obelisk though as you need to get all 130 walnuts regardless if you wish to get perfection.

Depends on your priorities. I was one stingray away from Master Angler which I needed for a 4 candle grampa eval on my Joja save, so farm, then resort. Plus, resort also gives you Pirates!

But Professor Snail give you a total of 12 golden nuts (2 with survey, other with fossils), and if you are in search of them, it's better; plus, there are 3 golden nuts north and north-east the quarry, and in the small river you can found really nice things with pan, so it worth the expense for the bridge!
Plus bone fragments and clay (I always use A TON of clay, for pots and delux retain soil).

Done. Unlocked everything, minus Parrot Express, Island Trader (this is my next stop), Volcano initial entrance and Teleporting Obelisk. Dunno if i missed anything else, will have to check up the wiki and shift through the walnut locations, to round them up and finish this task. Oof, this quest seems to be the hardest of them all. Keeping track of all 130 collectibles...

What is the reason to use Warp Totems that direction? Willy brings you back (usually to the Valley beach, of course) for free anyway. The last ones I usually make are just the Volcano bridge and the tower. You very often need the can inside the Volcano, anyway. Not always, but sometimes it's impossible to get further without passing lava. My order is first of course "opening" the Island, then trader, Parrot express and those two last.

It's a matter of time. Often it's too late to undertake the long route from the beach home, or I forgot something at home to bring with me to the Island, then Warp Totems are the best way to get to and fro as quick as possible. I even like to warp myself from my farm to the ocean to save time when I want to go to GI.
