Do you have a naming system for your animals/pets?

I sometimes name my animals after things that are made out of them. My goats are named Cream and Cheese, my cows are named Filet Mingon and Ribeye, and my chickens are named Omelet and Quiche.

The cat is named Belle (from one HM game where one threw a bell to the cat to play with it, so part of the morning routine was "and bell the cat")
I name the first pigs Putte and Possu from a phrase in Finnish that I remember from my childhood.
The first cow's name is named the standard name from Rune Factory 3: Bessy, then either Tulip or a random name.
I currently favor naming the first two chickens Ocha and Socha (tea, and herbal tea).
Rabbits tend to be Jussi, Kanini, and Pupu.
Other animals are given random names, randoming them until I get something that seems like a decent name or sparks inspiration to type up a name.

That's fun, I'm a big fan of the cosmere

I can't say I have much of a naming system myself though, when i was building up my animal farm I just named a few hundred golden chickens 'chicken', but I honestly ran out of patience and just used the autogenerated names for the others

I always pick the gray tabby and name it Levi, then I get an orange cat and name it Kirby, I've never gotten far enough to name turtles.
My chickens get whatever name comes to mind, and again, never progressed far enough to name anything else.

Oh, a cosmere Fan ❤ I always name my first Dino Kandra... And in one playthrough I had my Ostrichs named Jasnah and Shallan and a cow Navani (not meant in a bad way, I like her much in the books).

Usually I don't really have a system, just take what feels right at the moment. Often take the first Letter of the random name and fill it up.

I have too many farms so each one gets a different naming convention. In half my farms I'll change the game's suggested name to something similar I like better and in the other half I'll do a theme.

My previous farm has lotsa
Dinosaurs on it so they were all named for Toho kaiju, like Mothra, Ghidorah, Gojira, etc. Currently I have a buncha
Sheep making Wool for Emily's Cloth needs and they are Megafuzzbut, Mediumpox, Pucklepuss, Nolosdos, Chthulu, SomeVillainy, and I'm Itchy!. I was gonna give my
Golden Chickens forest spirit names but didn't get much past Totoro before going with Mononooooo, Cakadoodoo, ImNotAGoose, Gremlin, and a few others.

There's gotta be some forest out there with those as their spirits' names, right? No? Well, they're missing out!
