Solved Disappearing tools and items

I have had 3 tools disappear from my inventory. The axe, watering can and fishing rod have disappeared at different times. The watering can and axe were in the lost and found the next day but the axe lost all it's upgrades. (I added a pic of the secret woods entrance showing that I had a steel axe, as the log is gone.) I had to buy a new fishing rod and am now re-upgrading my axe that reverted back to the original, base level. I also had 7 gold quality pumpkins melons disappear from my inventory, which is unfortunate since I needed them for the community center. This problem seems to possibly be related to the NEW LARGE CHESTS as the pumpkins melons disappeared while transferring items from one chest to another. NO mods, only item codes in the name slot. Using Windows/desktop & playing through Steam.
EDIT: Missing produce was melons and not pumpkins.

i heard from other posts that they might be in your fridge but i lost my watering can before i got the upgrade so idk where to look
