Decorating for Krobus

I've invited Krobus to move in with me. I took a peek at the room he will add to my farmhouse, and it will not look good with my current decor at all. I've got the forest farm and most of the original items, in greens and wood, with the potted trees. How can I redecorate my house to match Krobie's room? What flooring, wallpaper, or furniture would look ok? And what about the items I can't change, like the wood cabinetry and beds?

I'm assuming you're playing in 1.4; I'm also assuming you have both Catalogues.

I've just looked through the Furniture list on the Wiki (while also looking at the picture of Krobus' room), and so I'll just list things that you might want to try:

  • Green Office Stool
  • Crystal Chair
  • Winter Chair
  • Metal Chair
  • All the Modern furniture
  • Neolithic Table
  • Stone Slab
  • Monster Fireplace
  • Burlap Mat/Rug (?)
  • Porthole
  • Plasma TV
  • Deluxe Tree
  • Exotic Tree
  • Highway 89
  • Spires
  • 1,000 Years from now
  • Portrait of a Mermaid
  • Wumbus
  • Calendar
  • Monster Danglers
  • Industrial Pipe
  • Obsidian Vase
  • Both Serpent Statues
  • Grave Stone
  • All the Stone Statues
  • Sign of the Vessel
  • Big Green Cane
  • Green Canes
  • Tea Set (good luck!)
  • Drum Block

Hope this helps!

The Monster Fireplace is fantabulous! And you get it from your new roomie so you keep them happy and in business so they don't mope disconsolately (or chocolately) around the house and generally become a bore. That would be my job.

Also I'd suggest Burnt Offering. All the right shapes to be posted on a wall and my constant inspiration when Cooking. Yes, of course it's hung in the Kitchen, you wouldn't want me to get a crick in my neck, would you??

Thank you both for your suggestions! I added the monster fireplace, changed the flooring and wallpaper to blue/gray, and covered the greener tiles of Krobus' floor with two dark rugs. It looks sort of okay.

Unfortunately nothing really matches Krob's floor or the green-blue tone of his room cohesively with the wood elements. The stairs for instance. For that reason I will not be recommending Krobus as a roommate in any marriage candidate threads!
