Custom Furniture Struggle

After the recent update two furniture mods I use seem to be breaking any menu that has their furniture in it. My game doesn't crash but SMAPI does close the menu and it is pretty annoying. I'm using Pet Displays and Gervi91's Furniture which both require the Custom Furniture mod to work. Is it breaking because Custom Furniture hasn't been updated? If someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong or if there is a way to fix it it would be much appreciated.

Furniture had major changes in 1.5, so CF does have issues. It is difficult to give up all the things, but I'd remove it until it's updated.
