Cross platform co op?

I wish I could play with a long distance friend as a way to spend time together but I use an PC and they use a switch it makes me kinda sad. I understand the difficulties with cross platform co ops, but I also really wish I could play with my friend without having to buy a switch. Now we just talk on the phone while both are on their separate farms.

I thoroughly agree, it's so sad finding out another friend plays only to find out they've got it on a different device so we can't play together. Luke it's not just a mobile option and a desktop, phones and switches, and ipads are all different too

Yes. We love playing on the big screen (Switch), but no one else in my family has one. So when my kid leaves for the weekend, I have to switch (no pun intended) to mobile. I've considered buying a whole switch set for my kid to use elsewhere, but that's a big expense that isn't a necessity. It's a minor issue, but I'd love to play cross platform.
