Crop rotation and/or supply and demand changes

Degemination

I think my interest in a play through would last longer if there were reasons to diversify crop growth, such as a need to rotate crops due to soil depletion or some changes in supply and demand.

Don‘t get me wrong, I don’t want this happy game to suddenly inform me all my crops are ruined or that the market for something crashed and no one wants my goods. I don’t want some sort of capitalistic nightmare in my game. Something more proactive, like a notification that if I plant more of X crop in this soil, the next batch will be worth less. Or there is increased demand for X good so maybe make more of it. I’d especially like crop rotation.

thanks!

I have spoken against supply/demand changes several times. The only reason for prices to change would be that you are affecting the supply to such a degree that the supply/demand ratio changes... one person... on a single-person farm where just about everything is done by hand... can affect the world's supply of radishes to the point where their price point changes. This only makes sense if Pelican Town in Stardew Valley is the entire world, and we already know that it is not. You should not be able to have a profound effect on the entire world just like your Nana would have zero effect on the real world economy were she selling the carrots she grows in her garden out back.

And we already rotate crops. Each season you're planting something new in that space, aren't you?
