Switch Crashing-multi-player, co-op

When playing multiplayer co-op on the same wifi, 2 different switch consoles, one is wired in(host) other is not. The one that is not wired in(can't due to older version) keeps disconnecting. No rhyme or reason. Any help is appreciated. We just bought another switch so we could play together not on split screen. This is frustrating. :(

My partner and I have the same issue. We played 5 years on a farm pre-1.6 update with maybe 1-2 crashes in months of online play. Now we get multiple crashes a day on our new farm. With seemingly no rhyme or reason. We dont have the volcano unlocked yet, nor do we use bombs which are identified bugs.

We love stardew and have been waiting for 1.6 for so long, but it's making us want to stop playing.
