Switch Constant Crash in Multiplayer also missing farm pet

I am on a Nintendo Switch and have the latest updated version according to the update check. Version 1.6.9.37

It crashes daily when in multi-player split screen. There is not a consistent trigger but it is usually at the end of the day.

Additionally, our dog went missing fall year 1, we are in summer year 2. We thought he might return when we went to a new season but he has not returned.

Keeps crashing when playing split screen when I try to divorce Sam (v1.6.9.37).
Tried playing single player and doing nothing else on that date and it still crashes.

So, here is what my wife and I do. Every 4-5 days, after it saves, completely close the game out from the Home Screen and reboot. We (crosses fingers) haven’t had a crash in about 10 sessions when doing this. It seems after 5-7 days the game runs into an issue and crashes for us.

it absolutely should be fixed, but at least for us this has worked.

other glitches we have noticed.

Pet disappeared after about a year and never came back, raccoon shop doesn’t ever expand as it should, glitch levels in the mine or skull cavern where you can’t pick up items.

While playing split screen, we encountered the same glitch. Our new adopted pet disappears and occasionally we lose a day because the game crashes.

We are also playing split screen and having a lot of the same issues. The constant freezing, random crashes and also crashing at the end of the day. We can’t seem to do the volcano together and we have lost 2 pets so far. In the mines, random floors will be completely frozen and you can’t pick up anything or kill anything. The raccoon shop has not expanded and by now, I have completed 50+ requests.

We have started resetting the whole game, as in closing it on switch and restarting, every 2 days of game play and have not had it crash on us at the end of a day anymore! It’s a work around. Now we are too paranoid to let it go past 2-3 days without resetting.

For us, we think it’s related to going to the Home Screen/pressing the Home button. We NEVER press it anymore and always full close the game when we’re done playing. Avoiding the home screen and resetting periodically helps reduce the random crashes

We also crash extremely consistently when the second player goes into the volcano dungeon without the host and tries to cross the first lava river while the host is on the island.
If the host isn’t on the island, it won’t crash but the second player can’t progress through the volcano. No enemies spawn and every floor is a copy of the entrance room, even floor five where the dwarf should be

Split screen crashes happen daily. When walking with triple shot espresso or mining, or too many mobs on us.

Two pets have disappeared while playing local co-op. Their water bowl stays but they're not on my animals list. Then you have to dump 40k on another pet plus whatever Robin asks for another pet bowl. Insane. I loved having my full heart cat but not willing to get another if it'll keep getting wiped.
