Community center fenced area

Hy, does any one know if there is a way to stop the Weeds from growing in the fenced area by the side of the community center. I was decorating it in winter and when the year changed some seasonal plants and floor tiles were gone.

Other than filling it with irreplicable items (stuff like furniture) there isn't really a way

Debris can just spawn atop of pathing (and not only that, but then spread and destroy as usual) since 1.6 which is IMO a pretty bad design choice overall but doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

I did not realize that. I've always used paths as cheap pseudo-fencing, hah. Guess I'll have to actually use fences whenever I end up playing through again

Curious if it's an actual new design direction for pathing to behave like that, or just an unintended bug that hasn't been addressed yet.

I'm hoping the latter.

Well pathing has never been able to be used in the same way as fencing to actually block spread, it simply didn't allow for anything to spawn directly atop of it previously.

No it's unfortunately now a feature, along with foraging also spawning atop of pathing

Ugh, that means if I want to avoid headaches, I'll need to wait until I can afford the golden clock to even start seriously decorating my farm.

And even forage can spawn on top of pathing now? That makes playing on the forest farm (my favorite map) an even bigger headache. Nope, I don't care for that design choice at all.

Thanks for the confirmation, at any rate.

I agree, this change makes the golden clock more useful that it previously was for people that are very careful about decorating their farm.

where does it say that it’s a feature? The only thing I could find in the change log is
  • Fixed weed/stone debris spawning on top of placed paths in some cases.
which sounds more like a bug that wasn’t fully fixed (1.6.9).
