Xbox Co-op Volcano

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but while playing local co-op the host is the only person who can go into the volcano on the island. If I try to go in solo it repeats the entrance over and over with no monsters.

Also only the host can dig artifact spots on ginger island to get golden walnuts.
