Is there a way to cancel the co-op option for ipad? It bugs me on the screen
If not, is there a way for me to play with a friend on a different time zone without purchasing a new game on my laptop (which I'm not sure can handle the game)?
Never co-opped before in Stardew so I'm new to this

Like to remove the option on the launch screen? Probably but it's incredibly minor

Not in a supported way on mobile, though some people have been messing around with external tools which allow them to reroute their connection and play over the internet, it's something you can go through the forums and browse threads for, which may lead to some useful information

Your laptop most certainly can run the game, at least without any mods, it's very easy to run even for many older devices.

It also often goes on sale, which could definitely help you save some cash, it'll probably go on a reasonably good sale during the lead up to the holiday season, it's gone down as much as 50% before.
