My husband and I were trying to play our save file on local co-op communication. We both have the 1.6.9 build 36 update, and we both play on the switch. Each time I would try to adventure in the volcano on ginger island, it would crash for both of us saying there was a server connection error. This happened 3 separate times. We were playing just earlier today on the same save file with the old version, and this was not happening. We haven’t tried to see if it happens with the skull caverns yet or if it is only the volcano.
Edit 11/6/24: We have found that it crashes when I kill one of the bomb guys in the volcano on ginger island, and since we had seen people reporting issues with local co-op crashing with bombs, we decided to test it further. It seems that killing the monsters that explode (which I assume is coded similarly to bombs) causes a crash as well as any type of bomb (mega, regular, and cherry). We also found that when I (the guest farmer) drop a bomb, it crashes for both of us, but when my husband (the host) drops a bomb, it only crashes for me.
