Solved Cleared Skull Cavs no stairs

Hey Stardew Family! I’ve officially cleared every single stone from the Skull Caverns cave and not a single hole or stair came up. I thought it surely was just me until I cleared out my metals for bombs and cleared caves with said bombs CLEAN. Please help! I loooove this cozy game!

There is no second level in the skull caverns to my knowledge. There is, however, a special item to get there.

Edit: sorry, my post is incorrect. Are you sure that you are in the skull caverns and not the cavern next to the quarry?

Skull cavern is the mine in the desert that you reach with the bus.

The quarry mine is the one you enter from the quarry and it had flying skulls. It only has one level.

The names are a bit confusing.

Does this happen every time? Skull cavern resets when you leave it, have you tried that?

Not sure exactly how ladders work but is it possible you are simply really unlucky?

This should not be possible. As others have stated, are you sure you're in the Skull Caverns and not the Quarry Mine?
