Clarification on Season Deck building / Festival Cards

Just played the game with my partner last night for the first time and we loved it!

As recommended we used the standard season cards to build our deck, however next time we play we'd like to change the deck up.

My question is whether festival cards should be treated as a normal season card with a planning and action phase following its effects, or are they special cards which should be added in addition to the standard 4 cards per season (because you do not get a planning and action phase after its effects similarly to how in the video game you may not be able to accomplish many tasks or access certain areas due to the festival).

They function just like a normal Season Card, just with different effects than normal. Most of their effects are pretty good, hence why they don't have other icons like the Shipping Bin and such on them. So yes, you'll do its effects and then take your Planning and Action phases as normal!
