I bet this gets suggested a lot but I wish your kids could grow up, and maybe some other people in the town could have kids as well that grow up. This would give you a great reason to continue playing late game, and maybe even eventually once you think you've played out your character you could switch into the body of your child and a whole new generation of the town would start. I know that's mega complicated but I thought It could be fun. Also, my main idea is just getting to see your kid grow up, and the other single townsfolk get together once you get married.
