Windows Chickens not giving quality eggs after update (edit: Quality eggs returned after patch! 11/15/24)

• I have noticed for the last 3 in game days that my chickens are no longer giving me gold or iridium quality eggs. They have consistently given me at least gold quality eggs even during rain storms when I forget to feed them hay. All but my youngest chicken are at full hearts and say that they are happy, I have pet them all for the last two days to rule out them losing hearts. Also the pathway to and from their chicken coop is clear and I made sure that all of them were inside at the end of the night because I had an issue in a previous game file where they got stuck outside and were grumpy >-<

• I attached screenshots of all of my beloved chickens and my inventory. My cow and goat do not have the same bug and still give me iridium quality milk and goats milk respectively.
• please upload your save file! I'm sorry I found my save files, but I couldn't figure out how to upload them (it said that it couldn't accept that file type so i converted to a zip file). I tried using the following code in game as suggested by the admin Magically Clueless %appdata%/stardewvalley/errorlogs and from Stardew Wiki %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves but my computer got tired of my incompetence.

Noticed this just now in my game as well - playing for the first time this week, last week it was not an issue. Hope it will be fixed soon, I got scared for a sec that I'm mistreating my chickens somehow!

Same problem. I can’t start working on my new mod until the bug is fixed. :(

I heard CN is also altering foraging rates in the next patch so I’ll probably wait for that as well.

Bums me out as I was waiting months for 1.6 beta to get done on PC to mod again but I rather it get done correctly any day than be forgotten like other developers do.

Thanks CN for taking your hard work to make such a wonderful and comprehensive game world that feels like a home away from home.

I do have the same issue! I went to google around and stumbled on this post.

I noticed though it affects ALL the animals in the coop, so chickens, ducks and rabbits for me. All of them are giving only base quality stuff, even though I have full hearts with every single of them.

I've been having the same issue! I have max hearts with all of my chickens (base level coop), but they've completely stopped producing any eggs above base quality. They were producing gold and iridium before this happened...

Hello everyone! After the most recent patch my chickens gave me iridium, gold, and silver quality eggs! I would suggest that everyone else download the most recent update :) Thank you CA and co.
