The ability to move chests (along with their contents) without having to push them around with a pickaxe, or at least the option to move them in building relocation mode, would make life much easier.

I thought about that too.
I think it would be nice if we could get some help overnight by asking the wizard (for some magicals in exchange) or the Junimos (for raisinets?). This could be implemented similar to relocation houses at Robins: pick a chest and place at the new spot & pay. Next day the chest ist moved...
