Windows Charged tool skips rows while moving sideways

Hey there, having a problem in singleplayer v1.6.
When pressing and holding to charge my watering can / hoe and move sideways, it often skips the immediate next row, which is quite annoying in creating larger farms.
Not sure if its a bug or a problem on my side. Game is not modded.

Edit: Only happens with mouse and keyboard. With controller, it works fine.
