Changing file paths for saves?

So I already owned the game on Steam, but I recently bought it from GoG Store. and after Installing the GoG version I see that they use the same directory for Save the games save files. Is there anyway i can have them use separate save directories? So i can use the steam version for Mostly-vanilla multiplayer, and have the GoG version for heavily modded playthroughs? and not risk losing save data?

I believe this is probably possible by editing wherever the directory leads from steam/GOG itself(?)

Though you can have them both share the same directory also, just so long as you don't open the wrong save file when playing the modded/non-modded files
