iOS Cat has changed into an entirely different one

My cat Kujo used to be a grey cat and remained a grey cat for 8 entire in-game years. I got him right at the start of the game. I open stardew valley today and now my cat Kujo is black similar to my other cat Pigeon. He turned into an entirely different cat. I dont think I pressed anything or did anything to cause this. The cat appears black both in the relationship stats tab (I dont know the official name for it) and in the actual game. Screenshots for before and after.

I hope there can be a way to change Kujo back. I miss him.

Did you use the shrine of illusions in the Wizard's basement? It allows you to change your pet's appearance. If you didn't, this is probably a bug but at least you can use the shrine to revert it.

It is not possible to change the pet's skin. In version 1.4 it was possible to do this, but with the arrival of 1.5, we can no longer change it, that is, it is a bug. And now in 1.6 this bug remains.
