Switch Can't remove wall items [Resolved]

Edit 3: Moving the cursor over the item via the right thumbstick lets you pick it up with Y. (As suggested by ConcernedApe)

I can't remove any items on walls, any wall in my home. This is most wall items, so windows, paintings, lights.

I can remove the "wall flower", "s. wall flower" and "pastel banner" items. But every other wall item I've tried to remove is stuck.

Robin won't add the extra rooms on walls that have the stuck items.

I tried removing them with the Y button like normal, I also tried the pickaxe. Nothing works.

Edited to add: The file i cannot remove wall items on is a previous save from before 1.6.9
Edit 2: I cannot remove wall items on a new file.

I've got version 1.6.9.36 on switch.

It worked! Thank you. I feel silly now. I didn't think to try that since the other items don't need it.
