My save file isn't corrupted but every time I click it, it takes me back to the main menu/title page and this keeps happening like a loop and I really want to play.

I'm using windows 10.
I was told that there are some missing files from stardew valley expanded mod and to reinstall it, which I did but the problem isn't fixed.
i tried to verify the game files through steam, restarting my laptop, updating windows, adding the game to windows defender exclusions, fixing my save file by removing the "_old" suffix, ran the game with and without smapi with no luck. please help and thank you. ^^
