Issue Can't Access Online Multiplayer [Steam]

For the past couple of days, I have been able to host an online modded multiplayer game. I am steam friends with the person I have been paying with, and it has been able to work even as he plays from different devices, and we have the same mods installed. However, we just tried to play a multiplayer game and it wouldn't show any options to access online multiplayer. I have researched multiple different solutions, but none of them worked, so i stopped so that it would not mess up my game further. If anyone has experienced anything similar please let me know if you were able to find a fix

I'm having the same issue at the moment, and we even tried updating SMAPI and we can't find the solution...

i try:
-reinstall the game
-Reinstall c++ 2013 and 2015 64x ,86x

I still have the problem, it seems to be a server problem.

ok thank you, i've tried both of those and i agree that it seems like a server problem

Hey guys, after investigating some old threads on the issue, I found out how to fix it. You have to go friends at the top left of your Steam window, go invisible, click out, then go back online. I can now invite my friends again!
