Can you remarry online?

Basically I did something silly, and I probs sound hella dramatic. I spent a lot of time crafting a wedding ring for my boyfriend and getting the wedding outfits organised. However I didn’t know that on the day of the wedding it goes straight to the ceremony, we didn’t have the opportunity to change into our wedding outfits, so we agreed to switch off the game to see if it takes us to the night before, but when we reloaded the game we missed the whole ceremony and we’re straight to being married. I was gutted because I spent a while finding everything only to miss the whole ceremony. I was wondering if it was an option to divorce my partner and ask them to marry me again? Would I have to collect the materials again or could they propose to me with the ring I have given them?

I'm not positive, but I would think you could divorce another player just like an NPC, you can check by visiting Lewis's house and clicking on the books above the entrance. Unfortunately the process is expensive.
