Can you find mystic stones not in the quarry?
I found only one at the quarry, is there other places?.
They have a 25% chance to drop a prismatic shard so that sounds good.

Yes, they can also spawn in the volcano, skull cavern and the lowest mine levels.

They are pretty rare though, if you want prismatic shards your best bet is farming iridium nodes in the skull cavern.
