Can we have more than one house/farm?

I have a question. This isn't easy for me to explain, so bare with me. Can we have more than one house? Do we only get to choose one house per saved game to live in and farm or can we use others, as an extra house/farm? I don't mean the actual farm map that we choose to use at the beginning when we start playing (i.e. standard, etc.) but the location such as grandpa's farmhouse, ginger island, any house that might be included in expansions that might be installed. I know there is a house/farm that we get to use in one of the expansions. I can't remember if it's east scarp or sunberry village.

you can build Cabins, and there is ginger island farmhouse, which is on the island west

I think Ridgeside village is an expansion with an extra farm.

I bought one cabin do I need another player to upgrade it? i know it’s meant for another player but I honestly bought it more for decor lol

I guess a more appropriate way to explain my question would be do we get to have them all. Because if we pass out anywhere we loose money and items. Example: Say I choose grandpa's farmhouse on the standard farm as my house. And, I go goofing around on ginger island and I don't have time to get all the way back to my house to go to bed by 2:00am, that I'm only going to get halfway there before passing out. Can I go to the island house and go to bed? And use that farm to grow more stuff and house more animals?

Can I go to the island house and go to bed? And use that farm to grow more stuff and house more animals?

If passing out at 2 am on Ginger Island you would be brought to the island house, and you can go to bed there too. No need to "choose" one house to be your standard. You can use the land around the island house to grow more crops. However, Robin won't build anything there, and Willy won't take any animals on board his boat, so, no animals, unless you hatch slimes there (but outside a slime hutch, they won't make slime balls).

Excellent. No animals? Well that's something that should be fixed with the next update.
