Can I transfer game data??

I’m relatively new to Stardew Valley but I already love the game so much. Currently I play on the Switch, but my friend is gifting it to me on Steam for my birthday (yay!!) the only problem is I already have over 25 hours on a save file on my switch!! Is there a way to transfer data, or do I have to start all over again??

Unfortunately you can't transfer files over from consoles, you'll have to start anew/have two files active at once
