If you give someone else a gift and are dating that person, your spouse may get mad. It is not a guarantee, but it could happen.

I think you can. I´m married to Abigail, but also continue giving gifts to everyone. With the marriageble characters I have heart events.
Not sure how wide it goes with being marriaged. You can divorce.
I have not ascertained that the spouse gets mad.

You can but the game recognizes it as cheating I think, i doubt they have a cut scene for a married and just a bf/gf scene but if you date multiple people at once before marriage there's a cut scene where they all find out and are royally pissed off.

Yeah, the game recognizes it as cheating so unless you install mods like free love. If you have everyone at 10 hearts you can actually trigger an event (and unless you have a rabbit foot in your inventory, things will get messy).
