Can fruit tree growth not be affected by tilled soil, please?

Hello! Similar to grass not affecting fruit tree growth being added to 1.6, might I propose tilled soil not affecting their growth as well? A lot of players end up wondering why their fruit tree doesn't grow and most of the time when it isn't because of an object, it's because of tilled soil.

I don’t think it does.

just tried it and this sapling was surrounded by tilled soil since I planted it, I didn’t get a single pop-up that it didn’t grow. It’s grown after 4 days (silver quality).

I was about to say it doesn't, I'm pretty sure it was removed a while ago when a whole load of other non-colliding objects were changed to no longer affect their growth
