Switch Can’t have a baby on multiplayer?

My partner and I have been playing co-op. We got married. Got the dialogue to ask if we want a baby. We said yes. It’s been a full season and nothing has happened. Why is switch co-op so bugged.
All the crashes
No golden coconuts
And now no family for me T_T
