I noticed that if you buy a ticket for the bus stop and allow the game to move your character to the bus, it is extremely slow.
You are able to push the joystick in the direction that the player is supposed to move to make it walk at normal speed.
I don’t know if I only noticed this because I read the book that makes your character walk faster and the animation just reverts to normal walking speed.
