PC [BUGS] death of in-season crops and endless fishing.

So I have two errors I am trying to figure out:
The first is that when my wife selects the fishing pole the game tries to fish immediately and the game keeps casting over and over. it doesn't matter what number it is on the hotbar, it just attempts to keep recasting unless she switches during the small window between casts

My wife has also noticed that in-season crops are randomly dead as she checks the fields (Coffee and Melon in the summer.)

She is currently in Summer of Year 1, and is not playing it through Steam. Keyboard and mouse control scheme

For the crops dying, it could be that the crops are being struck by lightning. Have any storms passed before the crops die? As for your other issue, I can't help you there.

Just checked with my wife. Yes, the previous day was raining.

Update on the fishing issue: Rebooting the game seems to have fixed it. Not sure the original cause though

You need to build Lightning Rods. I have 32 on my Beach farm and am going to be making 8 more soon. When I start seeing things getting hit by lightning again, I know I have more tiles full of stuff than my lightning rods are covering properly.
