When you give a present at the winter star festival
The game doesn't progress
On the game selection screen
I will be back.
Please correct it.

I have the same problem. After I give Demetrius his present, the game closes. I'm playing on version 1.5.4.1 btw.
Hope anyone can help ^^

I have the same issue. Gave Leah her gift and then the game crashed. I tried ot 3 times and the same thing keeps happening. I'm on the switch with the most current version. 1.5.4.1

After trying 5 more times (the game crashed everytime, after I handed over my gift), I just skipped the winter star festival and now everything works fine. Didn't fix the problem but at least I can continue to play.
