PC [Bug] square at bottom of farm map spawning weed-like stones/small logs

Farm map, no mods, was occurring prior to 1.5 update (95% sure at least). One particular square on the bottom edge of the farm map spawns either a small rock or small log every few days. If not mined/chopped, it begins spreading like weeds would, spawning a mixture of rocks and small logs nearby. Spreading rocks/logs will destroy items like weeds would. If the square is cleared and something 1x1 in size is put on it (such as pathway, crop, or small statue), the item is destroyed and replaced with a stone or log, with the "overgrown weeds have caused damage to your farm" message in the morning upon waking up.

Tried putting stone pathway down with a gourmand statue on top of it (2x1 statue). Received the "damage to your farm" message in the morning. Statue remained but pathway was destroyed, no log or stone present.

Unsure if it's the same issue, but weed-like stones and logs spread over behind jojamart for me as well. That's not disruptive to gameplay however.

Could you share a picture of the area? You said it's at the bottom edge of the map so I am wondering if there is some hidden weed/stick/rock down there under the edge. Maybe try swinging your axe and pickaxe at the wall in those areas, or setting off a bomb there? Might destroy the invisible thing so it stops spawning more.

Another possibility is to upload the map into Stardew Planner and see if it shows a rock/stick/weed icon down there, that might show you if there's a 'hidden' one that you can destroy.

Sorry everyone, it took me a while to get back into the game and get pictures. I've attached some photos.

It's actually two squares, and the stones or logs will spawn on top of the big statue if it's in the way while destroying the pathway laid underneath. There's definitely nothing nearby spawning them, I've tried with my axe and pick to get anything that might be hidden (which is how accidently I destroyed the strawberry on that empty spot).

This is the forest map. I'm in spring year 4 and it's been happening since the beginning of my game I believe. It's super annoying. Photos taken of my computer screen with my phone, so sorry about that quality.

There might be actually a piece of debris down there that's spreading. Try checking with the planner or if you don't mind destroying some crops, blow up a bomb there

I'm running into this same thing years later. I checked on the online planner - there are 4 tiles that look like they're just under the bushes on the edge of the map, but they are actually totally inaccessible (i.e. the actual edge of the map sticks up for those four tiles). So, they can't be "cleared" (chopped or pickaxed), nor can paths be put there to prevent weed spawn. Yet, they still manage to spawn weeds! In my case, logs and/or stones spread that kill the crops I have butted up against the edge.

I've attached a series of screenshots of me trying to place a floor tile in that area on the online planner, so you can see where the inaccessible tiles are. I've otherwise surrounded the area with paths so I know it's coming from the map edge tiles. I do think this is a bug in this particular map. I'm running on Android ... I might see if I can report it as a bug since this is the only thread I've found regarding this.

I haven't tried bombing the area to see if it makes the game think that it destroyed the "weeds" on those tiles. But even that wouldn't prevent new ones from spawning there the next season. I guess I could bomb that spot on the 1st of every season just to make sure, if that works (untested).

I've had that happen on the mobile version too. If I had paving down there I had daily damage and spreading of debris. I sorted it out by not laying down any paving there, having it go one line above it. No debris appearing other than maybe at the start of the season. It's like paving there attracts debris to destroy it.

Interesting! So you didn't get "spread" damage if you left one row of tiles actually empty to be a buffer? I'm totally going to try that next season (right now I've got blueberries down there around a Junimo hut so I'll have to scooch the whole thing up a tile before I plant the next crop).
