Switch [BUG] Reward lost for musical stones

I'm playing on Switch and completed the little cave where you touch the 5 stones to match the song, but I completed it and passed out exactly as the Golden Nuts were appearing!

I went back in the next day, but the statue's eyes were lit and the puzzle no longer works, so I did not receive the 6 Golden Nuts.

I have yet to do the Mermaid quest but I am also on switch and I did not get the Golden Walnuts as a reward for doing Birdie's quest. It looks like I am also missing some Golden Walnut tree locations as well on the west side of the island.

How did you do the mermaid quest on the switch? I can't figure out how to 'click' the you-know-whats.

Just put them down and click them to make noise and it will change each click
