Solved [BUG] Quarry Mine "A way down has appeared"

I am playing SDV on the Nintendo Switch. On certain occasions the Quarry mine has no rocks, just monsters. Only under this condition, after defeating all or most of the monsters, a note appears repeatedly: "A way down has appeared". But I can't find any way down. Note I am not referring to the normal mine with 120 levels, just the new mine that has an opening to the Quarry.

Is this a bug, or am I just not finding the way down in the Quarry Mine?

It's a bug, you aren't supposed to be able to go down a ladder in that cave. That cave should never have the "monster level" condition either, which is what's causing that note to appear.
