Switch Bug on switch online co-op

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but whenever my friends and I try playing on the switch no one is able to join a hosted farm no matter who hosts it. We're using online co-op since we're in different states and everyone's games are updated. When trying to join a hosted game, we all get a communication error after a long wait. Is there a fix to this??

Do you all have different consoles like switch or pc? Cause having different consoles won’t let you play :(

it’s the whole “cross-platform” thing.
Concerned ape never really implemented that I fear.

If not it might just be a switch issue.
The multiplayer doesn’t work too well on there all the time :/

We're all on switch everyone's games and switches are up to date as well and everyone has set play activity to friends

My friend cant get multiplayer to work either… :(

And concerned ape is working on Haunted Chocolateer so idk if it will be fixed any time soon :////

I figured it out!! A workaround anyway. My friend and I were messing around with it and found out if you pay Robin for a brand new cabin then other ppl can join!!
