PC [BUG] need to name my horse each morning

game version: 1.4.5.145

in-game language: English

issue: I start my game as single player in Android with version v1.3 and migrate to PC with version 1.4.5.145, then I turn it into multiplayer game and built a cabin and then a stable. After i name my horse, the name just cannot be saved. I have to name my horse each morning before riding it. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Just wanted to +1 this, under remarkably similar circumstances. The affected game is vanilla on PC, latest version, but part of this specific character's life was played on Android 1.3. (BEFORE getting the stable; its been on PC ever since I had a horsey) This is my only cross-platform character, all others are PC only and I've never had to rename my horse everyday before.

I opened the save with a text editor and compared it to other saves who dont have the bug, and for sure the name field was blank in this file. However, copy the name from another save (the exact line and no other changes) did not solve the issue. The game still somehow forgets and prompts again for a name.

So while editing the horse name under character location did not suffice to solve my issue, searching for 'horsename' made me see there was a blank name there too. After I changed it to <horseName>Zorro</horseName>, then the game has been able to remember my horse's name. So this bug (which is probably still worth fixing even though minor), can be resolved with a little notepad save editing. @psyduck you may want to try the same if it nags you!
