Switch [BUG] Multiplayer not working after 1.5 update

Me and my GF updated to 1.5 today on our switches. She has a hosted farm and as soon as I connect to it we get a communication error and it kicks us both out. We've tried uninstalling, adding another house, ect... Anyone run into this?

I am experiencing the exact same problem. On Thursday, my BF and I both upgraded to 1.5, and he could join my farm with no issue. However, we started getting the communication errors on Saturday. Now every time my BF joins, it errors out.

I receive the screen "The software was closed because an error occurred." We've tried all of the same things to troubleshoot, but with no luck.

I made a new farm, and he can join that one. I can also join his farms. It appears that the only issue is with the one (and sadly most complete) save file.

I have the same problem as well. I was able to make it work again one time after I removed everything from the other cabins, but haven’t been able to get it to work again since.

I'm having the exact same issue. Started happening after the 1.5 update. As soon as someone joins my hosted farm the game crashes. It works on all other saves with the same people. I can play the broken save myself but not with friends anymore. I'm playing on PS4.

I found a work around. If you delete all the farmhands cabins and make all new characters it works. It sucks that we had to start our characters over again but at least we were able to keep the farm.
