I am having to start Stardew Valley over for the third time because I have had the hoe disappear on me twice (two different save files on my phone). I have checked every single chest multiple times. It is not in my refrigerator, I did not get it back in the mail and Marlon does not have it at the adventurer's guild. I was quite sure I had not given it to Clint for an upgrade but I checked anyway and he does not have it either. Since I am on mobile, I don't have 1.5, so I can't check the Lost and Found at the Mayor's House. My phone is a Moto E 2020, Android Version 10. I am going to start over on a different phone and see if that makes a difference as I am not seeing other people reporting permanently losing tools but this is the second time this has happened to me on this phone.
I won't delete the save file in case anyone has any suggestions on how I can somehow retrieve the hoe.
