Xbox [BUG] Local Co-op Not Working Properly

Ever since I downloaded update 1.5.4, I cannot play co-op without it saying my controller is disconnecting once the second player joins. When I try to reconnect it connects me as the third player. I am hoping that their is a fix or I could get some help please and thank you.
