Solved [BUG] Junimos not working?

I played a day on my farm, and after warping to the island for most of the day and then returning home, I noticed my junimos did not collect all my crops. I replayed the day, and the issue persisted. I took screenshots from this second playthrough of the day. The morning screenshot was taken around 9am, shortly before using an island warp totem. The second was taken after using a farm warp totem to return home around 9pm. In particular the lower right hut being so unproductive between is befuddling. I don't feel like I'm placing unreasonable demands on them. The only things in that field are sprinklers, scarecrows, crops, and the huts themselves, so from a pathfinding perspective I've done just about everything I can to make it easy for them. The 4 huts with scarecrows in their area are being asked to service 137 tiles, and the other 8 huts to service 138 tiles. This is just under half of the 283 tiles they could theoretically cover in their 17x17 area. No mods in use.

I think you're not the only one who reported that bug.

Seems like the junimos only work when you're on the mainland.

This has been fixed in latest patch! From the patch notes -
  • Fixed Junimos not harvesting crops if you spent the night on the island or when you're not physically present.

Hello again, while the major bug has been resolved, Junimos appear to still be buggy in general. I can often observe one being stuck in place, diminishing the efficiency of its hut. On this farm, other huts are able to pick up the slack of a bugged/inefficient huts because of overlapping coverage, but I will still occasionally see stuff like this happen. This screenshot was not taken on a festival day, I was out fishing for the new legendary fish for the Qi quest. In general I'm unable to pinpoint any particular pattern to missed crops. With the major bug removed I wouldn't consider this a big deal, depending on how common this is. I figured I'd report it so it's known that it's still out there in some form. Though this might be a concern for players who try and make a single hut cover 200+ tiles.

Edit: I'm on 1.5.4
