[BUG] Hairstyle 27 clipping onto shirt

After toying around with the character select screen I noticed that hair 27 has a really really REALLY long line of brown/grey pixels that protrudes onto my character's shirt.
I have played LAN cooperative with my significant other, and it looks the exact same there too.
Is this intentional, or was this just a mistake by the artist who did the sprites in this game?
Hair Bug 1.png shows where the line is with a red arrow, and the 2nd image shows the absence with a different hairstyle.

I don't want to speak for ConcernedApe with certainty, but i would assume that's intentional. Generally these are overlayed, not bordered with a clip, which would imply that he chose to have the shirt drawn first and then the hair, despite the natural inclination to draw all character attributes before the clothing on top. Also, the hair's features would not be visible with any other outfit, either.
