PC [BUG] Ginger Island COOP

Me and my friend are playing coop together and i recently finished the community center and unlocked Ginger Island while he was offline. When he joined he was not able to go to Ginger Island because of the door in Willys shop was locked for him. Im wondering why hes not able to go to Ginger Island while I can?

Have you tried waiting one in game day? The farmhand will receive letter from Willy the day after they join for first time. Has he received the letter from Willy yet?
