PC [BUG] Fishing glitch on pier, v1.5

When fishing off the right side of the pier next to Willy's shop while facing right, the character model will glitch out and the rod will appear reversed in the character's hand. If you fish into water, it will go back to normal on hitting the water, but if you miss the character model will stay glitched and freeze with the rod out. You are unable to pull the line back in and unfreeze your character, and since the pause button is disabled while fishing, you must either wait until your character passes out at 2AM, or minimize and quit the game from the desktop. Picture included of freeze and model glitch.

Does this happen every time for you, or did it just happen once? Are you playing with keyboard/mouse or controller?

I just wanted to say that this happened to me as well.
Playing on PC, via Steam, English. Version 1.5.0

using iridium rod with bait and no tackle, if that matters

I was standing on the dock over by the lonely rock and accidentally cast my line downward onto the dock instead of into the water. It froze like that (game time continued to run but I was unable to do anything) and I had to force-close the game since I did not want to wait until 2am. I am in mid-summer year 1, in case that's important at all.

So far it has only happened once.

This only happened once, and I was playing with keyboard and mouse.

This happened to me in the Stardew Valley Fair fishing mini-game.

If I got stuck, I could quit the mini-game by hitting ESC twice, but every time I tried the mini-game, the glitch occurred again. I finished the fair event and didn't see it again. If it shows up in the next year, I'll mention it here.
